Harvard Business School
As the Project Manager from 1992-1997, complete site design and construction phase services were provided to HBS on the Administration Building, Chapel, MacArthur Plaza, the Dean's Residence, and general campus plantings. Additionally, Mr. Burke provided a report analyzing the levels of accessibility compliance for several buildings along Harvard Way.
Boston College
Boston College decided to replace a vehicle-centric space with one dedicated to pedestrians. Barrier free access was a challenge due to the 12'+ grade change. This $1.6 million project was completed within three months and on budget. Mr. Burke was the Project Manager for the Bidding and Construction phases.
Medford Public Schools
Since the 1930's, the City of Medford, MA had not constructed a new elementary or middle school. That changed in 2000 with the opening of a new K-8 and a middle school on formerly Metropolitan District Commission property. As the Project Manager, Mr. Burke oversaw an EIS to support the removal of the parcel from state parkland. Additionally, full site design and construction phase services were provided for roadways, walks, plantings, lighting, site amenities, ballfields, and play structures.
Hamilton Wenham High School
This School District undertook a major expansion of the existing facilities in the late 90's. While working for a previous firm, Mr. Burke was the Project Manager for the site components of the project. The scope included natural turf ballfields for soccer, field hockey, football, baseball/softball, and lacrosse, a synthetic running track, parking layout, and grading. He also oversaw the installation of a new well for irrigation that enabled the school to bypass the yearly Town of Hamilton water bans.
